Food Stamps Overhauled

I suggest that people who receive Food Stamps from the state (or county) should be under the same guidelines as people who receive WIC. I have seen so many people wasting taxpayer money on purchasing candy, chips, soda, and other types of junk food with taxpayer money; it disgusts me. People who receive government assistance should be more responsible.

Solution to Food Stamps

Allow the food stamp credits to be used ONLY on foods that are not taxed. Like fruits, vegetables and necessary beverages like milk.

It will curb wasteful spending for unhealthy foods that simply lead to lower healthy quality and increased health care expenses which are likely subsidized by taxpayers also.

Over the course of that time, I had encountered many individuals with Medicaid who clearly should not qualify for this service. People with expensive blackberry phones, designer bags, yorkshire terriers also dressed in designer clothes. ...more »
